The founders and senior executives from Caring Health, a medical consulting firm based in Dhaka, Bangladesh, visited Tianjin Renji Hospital and signed a partnership agreement with the hospital to help treat international kidney patients. Bangladesh, an emerging economy with a population of 163 million, has high rate of chronic kidney disease. It is reported that 20% of the population have chronic kidney disease. (see Global Health.) Caring Health was very happy with the facility and medical services at Tianjin Renji and expressed high confidence that the hospital will make significant contribution to help solve the kidney disease endemic. Caring Health founder Mr. Gautam Chowdhury remarked that currently the only options for the kidney patients in Bangladesh are dialysis and kidney transplant, "as a healthcare executive, I feel great to know that treatment is available now to avoid kidney failure and dialysis."
